Maiko

Most of Japanese people speak Japanese only.
So do I.
Just seeing the word "English", my back bends backward.

One day, I went to a foreign book corner in a large bookshop.
I was looking into several magazines at random to find useful information for this blog.
Then, a foreign man suddenly spoke to me.
“Bla Bla Bla Bla” (I couldn’t understand)
My brain got empty.

Don’t you have such experience?

My brain stops thinking and I get unable to say even “I can’t speak English”.
Just noticing the person is foreign, I get nervous.
I get unable to even say “Thank you” nor “Excuse me”.

Am I not good at English, or at foreign people?
I hope someday I can overcome it.
I‘ll try my best.
